Babies / Toddlers / Juniors
Babies: Dumbo class.
Toddlers: Tweety class, Smurfy class.
Juniors: Bambi class.
This group is fully integrated with the school, but operates separately at its own pace and development. They are exposed to a day program like the other learners.
Personal attention is given to each learner’s needs. They also receive quarterly reports during the year. The CAPS Curriculum presented in Grade R is also used in their planning for infants, juniors and middle groups, with only an adjustment in the difficulty level for the respective groups to prepare them for their Grade R year.
The Baby Department is just as involved in all functions and parent evenings as the rest of the school.
Our baby section is divided into 3 groups namely:
• Babies from 3 months to 1 year.
• Toddlers from 1 year to 2 years.
• Juniors from 2 years to 3 years.
Meals and refreshments: (Dumbo class)
Meals such as breakfast, morning refreshments, lunches and afternoon refreshments are provided. Rooibos tea is also provided throughout the day. Menu is in the kitchen for viewing. For example, parents can pack a yoghurt for an extra refreshment late afternoon after the children slept.
